Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal information.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Aetrona Watches (“Aetrona”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how personal information is handled when you browse our website or contact us about buying, selling or servicing a watch, or purchasing accessories.

Online purchases and accounts: Secure payment is provided by Stripe. Supabase provides account authentication, catalogue storage and order records. You can use guest checkout without creating an Aetrona account.

1. Who to contact

For questions about your information or to make a privacy request, email Contact@Aetrona.co.uk.

2. Information we handle

Please provide only the information needed for your enquiry. Do not send card numbers, passwords or identity documents through the general contact form.

3. How information is collected

Information comes directly from you when you email us or send an enquiry. The contact form sends your enquiry through Netlify Forms. Netlify processes and stores form submissions and can email a notification to our team’s Zoho-hosted mailbox. The form includes your name, email address, enquiry topic and message, along with technical information used for security and spam filtering.

Technical information may be processed when your browser connects to the website and its external resources.

4. Why we use your information

We use information to answer enquiries, discuss watches and accessories, arrange the next steps for selling or servicing a watch, maintain relevant correspondence, protect against misuse and meet applicable legal obligations.

When you shop with us, we also use information to reserve available stock, process payments and orders, provide account access and purchase history, arrange delivery and support returns or payment queries. Security checks use a hashed connection identifier to limit repeated checkout requests.

5. Our reasons for processing information

Depending on the circumstances, we rely on:

6. Browser storage and external resources

The basket uses local storage in your browser to remember product identifiers and quantities between visits. Checkout references and a private order-status token are also stored to resume checkout and check its result. Account authentication tokens are stored by Supabase in your browser to keep you signed in. A watch enquiry may be held temporarily in session storage to pre-fill a message. You can remove this information through your browser’s site-data controls; doing so may clear your basket, checkout reference and sign-in session. Keep order-status links private.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to that provider to display them, which may disclose technical information such as your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

The current website does not include Aetrona-installed advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Hosting services may use their own security and access technologies. Any future use of non-essential tracking will be explained and consent requested where required.

7. Who may receive your information

Information may be handled by Netlify for website hosting and form processing, and Zoho for our email communications. Relevant provider information is available in Netlify’s Privacy Statement and Zoho’s Privacy Policy. Stripe handles payment details and transaction processing, and Supabase handles account authentication, product photographs and order data. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy and Supabase’s Privacy Policy. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary and lawful.

If an enquiry leads to arrangements involving a courier, watch repairer or another service provider, we will explain the relevant sharing before passing on information for that purpose. We do not sell personal information.

8. International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where Aetrona arranges a restricted international transfer, the applicable transfer safeguards must be established. Provider locations and arrangements will be reflected here as the operating services are confirmed.

9. Keeping and protecting information

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of any applicable record-keeping requirements or disputes. Enquiry records are reviewed when they are no longer needed; specific retention periods will be confirmed as Aetrona’s operating processes are finalised.

Basket and sign-in data can remain in your browser between visits until it is changed, cleared, signed out or expires. Closing the browser does not necessarily sign you out. Order records are kept separately from browser storage for order administration and relevant record-keeping purposes.

We aim to limit access to personal information to those who need it and use appropriate safeguards. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and the law that applies, you may ask to access or correct your information, request its deletion, restrict its use, object to processing or receive a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that took place beforehand.

Send requests to Contact@Aetrona.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We normally respond within one month; if a permitted extension applies, we will explain why.

If you are outside the UK, you may have additional rights under local law. Please contact us to discuss your request.

11. Automated decisions and children

Our payment provider may use automated security checks when processing a payment. Please contact us if you need help with a declined payment or an order verification request.

Our services are not aimed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact our team.

12. Concerns and updates

Please contact us first if you have a concern about your information. You may also raise a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another relevant data protection authority.

We will review this policy as the website and our services develop. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date, and material changes will be brought to your attention where appropriate.
